The 3rd SCGIS Successfully Held

Hefei, May 16 — The Third Sinoma Cement Green and Intelligence Summit (SCGIS), themed "Green Intelligence · Empowers Cooperation," was successfully held in Hefei. Over 580 industry leaders and experts from 49 countries gathered to engage in in-depth discussions on green and low-carbon initiatives, digital design, intelligent management, and traditional industry expansion, aiming to drive high-quality development in the global cement industry and jointly build a shared future for humanity.

The conference was attended by ambassadors and diplomats including H.E. Iven Zyuulu, Zambian Ambassador to China; H.E. Khamis Mussa Omar, Tanzanian Ambassador to China; H.E. Marcelo Suarez Salvia, Argentine Ambassador to China; H.E. Daouda Bitie, Burkina Faso Ambassador to China; Babagana Wakil, Chargé d’Affaires of the Nigerian Embassy in China; Mogamat Mahdi Basadien, Chargé d’Affaires of the South African Embassy in China; Stanley Banda, Minister-Counsellor of the Zimbabwean Embassy in China; Avom Nang Jean Jacques, Defense Attaché of the Cameroonian Embassy in China; Shehzad Ahmad Khan, Consul General of Pakistan in Shanghai; Budi Hansyah, Commercial Counsellor of the Indonesian Embassy in China; Adnan Akgoz, Commercial Counsellor of the Turkish Embassy in China; Hector J. Dorbecker H., Commercial Counsellor of the Mexican Embassy in China; Lordwell Kalubankwa, Economic Counsellor of the Zambian Embassy in China; Derrick Kalamba Mbuanya, Commercial Advisor of the DRC Embassy in China; and Ivan Dutkovsky, Senior Specialist of the Russian Trade Mission in Shanghai.

Domestic attendees included Sun Yong, Vice Governor of Anhui Province; Li Mingshan, Vice Mayor of Hefei City; Wang Mengzhong, Second-Level Inspector of the Anhui Provincial Department of Science and Technology; Zhang Chunfeng, Second-Level Inspector of the Anhui Provincial Department of Commerce; Yao Fei, Party Secretary of Feidong County; Zhang Yuanqin, Director of Foreign Economic Cooperation at the Anhui Provincial Department of Commerce; Liu Dengyin, Deputy Party Secretary of Hefei’s Baohe District. 

Attendees also included academicians such as Karen Scrivener of the UK Royal Academy of Engineering, Liu Wenqing and Yang Shanlin of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and industry leaders such as Yan Xiaofeng, President of the China Building Materials Federation; Zhou Yuxian, Chairman of China National Building Material Group (CNBM), China National Building Material Co., Ltd. (CNBM), and the China Cement Association; Wei Rushan, Vice President of CNBM and CEO of CNBM Co., Ltd.; and Yin Zhisong, Chairman of Sinoma International.

In his opening remarks, Sun Yong highlighted Anhui’s leadership in cement production, its industrial clusters, and green and intelligent achievements . He welcomed global experts and enterprises to innovate, invest, and deploy projects in Anhui to foster advanced manufacturing clusters with international competitiveness.

Yan Xiaofeng emphasized the China Building Materials Federation’s commitment to promoting global cement industry towards green, low-carbon, circular, and intelligent development. He stated that SCGIS serves as a vital platform for international technical exchanges and cooperation.

Zambian Ambassador H.E. Iven Zyuulu  praised Sinoma International’s contributions to Zambia’s industrial upgradation since 2006 and invited further investments to build a resilient and diversified economy.

Tanzanian Ambassador H.E. Khamis Mussa Omar noted the alignment between CNBM’s green and intelligent vision and Tanzania’s sustainable industrialization goals, citing Sinoma’s modern cement plants and technical support in the country.

Zhou Yuxian delivered a keynote speech titled " Innovation-Oriented, Green-Focused, Future-Forward: Create a Brighter Future for the Materials Industry Together." He outlined CNBM’s efforts in advancing non-metallic materials manufacturing, global services through cutting-edge technology, capital-driven industrial empowerment, and open collaboration. He introduced CNBM’s new technologies (better performance, broader applications, lower costs, smarter, and greener), new services (featuring green energy and integrated one-stop shop solutions), and new cooperation models (strategic partnerships, joint innovation, equity partnerships, and financial collaboration), pledging to work with global partners to fulfill the mission of "Better Materials, Better World."

Yin Zhisong, Chairman of Sinoma International, welcomed attendees by reflecting on the achievements of previous conferences and reaffirming Sinoma’s commitment to green, intelligent, and sustainable development. He vowed to collaborate with partners to drive industrial upgrades and build a low-carbon, smart ecosystem for global sustainability.

The opening ceremony was hosted by Zhu Bing. Attending the conference were over 30 national, industry-level, and local mainstream media outlets, including Xinhua News Agency, CCTV News, and Economic Daily.

The conference grandly unveiled Sinoma International's four major technological innovations for 2025.

Industry reports were delivered by Kong Xiangzhong, Executive President of the China Cement Association; Martin Schneider, Executive President of the German Cement Association; and Thomas Guillot, CEO of the Global Cement and Concrete Association (GCCA).

The conference invited Karen Scrivener, Academician of the UK Royal Academy of Engineering, to deliver an expert keynote report titled "Importance of Integrated Approaches to Decarbonize the Construction Sector "; Professor Zhan Baojian from Academician Xing Feng's team at the Chinese Academy of Engineering to present "Current Status and Development Trends of Construction Waste Recycling Technologies Driven by Dual-Carbon Goals"; Yang Shanlin, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, to discuss "Key Technologies and Applications of Large-Scale Models"; and Liu Wenqing, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, to address " Progress in Emission Perception Technology for Industrial Parks Under the Goal of Reducing Pollution and Carbon Emissions."

During the conference, Zhou Yuxian met with Wang Qingxian, Governor of Anhui Province, to discuss deepening strategic cooperation, fostering high-quality open development, and promoting new technologies and business models in Anhui.

Zhou also held talks with diplomats from  Zambia, Tanzania, Argentina, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, and South Africa.

The Third SCGIS served as a pivotal platform for global dialogue, showcasing technological breakthroughs and fostering cross-border collaboration. Sinoma International pledged to continue uniting global stakeholders, advancing intelligent and green industrial integration, and co-creating a sustainable future.
